“I’ve always made an effort to focus on my wellbeing, exploring different avenues to stay balanced. I work as a manager at a large insurance company, a role that comes with long hours and constant pressure. As I climbed the career ladder, I found myself speaking in front of hundreds of people—something I wasn’t always comfortable with.

Over time, I started feeling overwhelmed, unhappy, and lost both at work and in my personal life. My social life dwindled, and I realised I had stopped making time for myself. My days had become a cycle of waking, working, sleeping, and struggling to switch off—even on holidays, I found myself logging on because I couldn’t stop thinking about work.

I discovered Victoria on Instagram and realised I had never had a partner in mental health before. This was a completely new experience for me.”

The hypnotherapy and mental performance partner journey

When Shiraz first came to me, he was burnt out, experiencing low self-esteem, and eager to improve his overall mental wellbeing. We worked together through bi-weekly hypnotherapy sessions, focusing on managing the stress of large work events and periods when it was especially hard for him to switch off.

I created a safe, supportive space for Shiraz to reflect, offload, and ask for guidance during our weekly check-ins. Each month, I provided tools, including audios, techniques, and practical exercises, tailored to his needs. We also held six-weekly calls to review goals, assess progress, and navigate particularly busy periods at work.

Over the two years we’ve worked together, Shiraz has transformed his approach to mental wellbeing. The Mental Performance Partner Programme evolved alongside his changing work demands, helping him navigate both quieter and busier months with resilience, clarity, and confidence.
